Excellent news today that the two additional courses I had been very hopeful of teaching in the spring (as an adjunct at a college where I taught all last year) are going to happen! Good also since I included them on my Vita for two job applications I already sent out! Very exciting - really excellent class subject material, hopefully very helpful in getting me permanent job for F'09, and I do like the school and students there a lot, so I am very pleased. Two more American History courses, so by the end of this year I'll have 18 classes under my belt (very good for a new PhD which I hope to be in December), 5 of them American history (the rest European of varying types).
I've been struggling to stay afloat with my course load and trying to finish my dissertation the last month. Nothing else of note to report.
